1. Who we are

This site is operated by Research & Digital Development Pty Ltd, ABN 36 619 255 042, an Australian private company based in Victoria. We are the entity responsible for the personal information described here — the data controller, in the language of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What this site collects

Nothing you provide. The site has no forms, no sign-in, no newsletter and no comment facility. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It loads no fonts, scripts, images or content from anyone else's servers, so no third party learns that you visited.

What the servers see. The site is served from Amazon Web Services. Like any web server, the delivery network records ordinary technical request data — an Internet Protocol (IP) address, a timestamp, the page requested, and the browser's self-description. We use this only to keep the site available and secure. We do not build profiles from it, do not combine it with anything else, and do not sell or share it. These records are held for a short operational period and then deleted.

3. If you email us

The address published on our contact page reaches a person. If you write to us, we hold your message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and to keep a reasonable business record of it, and then we delete it. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not pass your message to anyone outside the company unless you ask us to or the law requires it.

4. Where your information is held

Personal information collected by this company stays in Australia — our infrastructure runs in the Sydney region — unless there is a documented reason to move it, in which case we apply protections equivalent to those described here. Requests for this website are served from a global delivery network, so a page may be delivered to you from an edge location near you.

5. Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address on our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable period, and in any case within 30 days.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you further rights, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict it, the right to receive your data in a portable form, and the right to complain to your national supervisory authority. Where we process anything about you in connection with this site, we do so on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, available website, or on the basis of your request when you contact us.

If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

6. Our products

This policy covers this website only. Each of our products has its own privacy terms, presented within that product, because each handles a different kind of information for a different purpose.

7. Changes

If this policy changes we will replace this page and update the date at the top. The site carries no mailing list, so there is nowhere for us to notify you; the current version is always the one published here.
